areUfit arrange mountain bike and road tours of this cycling paradise throughout the year for both training and leisure riding.

Situated south east of Granada in the Alpujarra mountains of southern Spain you will be riding through one of the most scenic and dramatic areas of Europe, steeped in history & tradition with some of the best riding terrain there is. The towns of Orgiva and Lanjaron are the gateways to your stay, with the routes taking the rider high into the Sierra Nevada mountain range and depending on your route, over the Valeta pass, Europe's highest. The views all around are dramatic and stunning. The riding can be demanding but the sense of achievement outways the effort required. The downhills can be fast and if you are riding a mountain bike, they can be technical but everything is discussed before the tour starts and is tailored to suit the ability of the group.

A typical itinary for one of our tours works like this:

  • You book your own flights and arrive at Malaga airport
  • We collect you from the airport and take you to the overnight accommodation in Lanjaron or Orgiva.
  • On the first riding day we collect your overnight baggage and take it to the next overnight stop whilst you enjoy a full days riding under the direction of your guide.
  • This process is repeated until the last day of the tour when we collect you and return you to the airport in plenty of time for your return flight.

We use a variety of local hostels and hotels during our rides. They all provide basic, but excellent accommodation and food. However you will find that in many of the towns and villages that we stay in you will want to explore the local restaurants in order to soak up the atmosphere and to sample the local food and drink available, so this is why we offer "accommodation only" packages.
